Of The Creelman Agricultural Society
September 15, 1904
Application was made for the formation of the Creelman Agricultural Society, before Saskatchewan was even a province.
October 13, 1904
The first annual Exhibition was held on a Thursday.
1906
Creelman incorporated as a village on April 6.
1907
A Seed Fair and Poultry Show was held for the first time. This show was held in Creelman & Fillmore over the years.
1909
The Society purchased 25 acres of ground (SW 16-10-10W2) for $125. Fencing it cost $150.
1938
Lack of finances and resources, during the 1930s and the war years, forced the Society to become dormant in 1938.
1954
With enough interest & community spirit in evidence, the Society reorganized and the first annual summer fair was held in 1958.
2020
No summer fair was held in 2020 & 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
2024
Creelman celebrates the 120th anniversary of the formation of the Agricultural Society at the 2024 Summer Fair.
